It’s the first Friday of the first week of a new school year. Our district insists on an early release every year. I only complain because I live too far from town to go home and come back. So, here’s a list of five things I could be doing instead of sitting in the pickup line 45 minutes before early release.
1.) Napping. This, of course assumes I’m a good napper, which unfortunately, I am not. But I could be. This super moon is killing me. I haven’t slept well since Sunday night.
2.) Going to a town with a Target. I must admit, this is my favorite Friday activity. Okay, it’s my favorite activity at all. I mean, if they don’t have it at Target, I don’t need it.
3.) Getting a mani-pedi. Honestly, I NEVER do this, but I have a spa day gift waiting from my dad and stepmom. I’m apprehensive about the massage, but that’s for a different day.
4.) Doing Laundry. Here it is only the first week of school and I’m already desperately behind on laundry. There are two baskets of clean clothes that need to be folded and put away (hahahahahaha), one basket of socks to be matched (perhaps my second least favorite chore only behind cleaning around the toilet.) The boys funk has come in so they are using more towels than ever! I. Can’t. Keep. Up.
5.) Blogging something other than a silly list. This one I’m not so sure I would actually do, but at least this week it’s “not my fault” and I would be in airconditioning. I have so many thoughts swirling, my mind is not really a safe place to peruse right now.
Tell me, what do you do on #EarlyReleaseDays
