We have an ENT appt tomorrow as a follow up to the ear infections. I won’t be surprised if Joe-Joe has fluid in his ears despite the nasal spray we’ve been using. He’s got the eye goop again. Last three times I took him to the ped because I was scared he had pink eye and he just had ear infections. So, I’d be surprised if we don’t make an appt to have tubes put back in…I’ll post on Monday. Hopefuly I’ll have some great pictures of the boys with Teda and Stocky (my grandparents.) Well, This post isn’t really about the boys…it kind of is…but mostly about me turning 32! It sure beats the alternative that is for sure! I was telling Brian the other night when I was having a particularly whining, pity-party event that I don’t feel IMPORTANT sometimes. I feel like a floor sweeping, laundry doing, cook (not even chef) who often looks bad and smells worse. Thirty wasn’t so hard for me because I was pregnant and really FELT like I was doing something important. Then, yesterday, we went to Harwood, and I saw my beautiful children and sweet, wonderful husband, running and playing being so good to each other and I thought, yes, I am IMPORTANT. I may not ever get told that, but in those pure, wonderful, blissful moments, I realize how fortunate I am. I have a wonderful family full of loving, kind, supportive people. I have great health (maybe not so much mental health ;-)) and am so blessed. I hope you all are feeling as wonderful and fulfilled as I am today.

Both boys went to the dentist today and got good reports. They were SO GOOD! I was so proud of them; I was extremely nervous about the whole thing because we went all by ourselves. But, I have to say, we were in, out and on our way to lunch with Daddy. They did pretty well at Daddy’s work too; although, they were kind of loud. We only hit a couple of rainy spots on our way home. All in all…what a wonderful day!

We had a rough patch last night; When I put Joe’s ear drops in, he told me that I hurt his throat…not quite sure what that was about. He said that it hurt the inside of his throat. Joe seems to be doing better today.Thank goodness for that! I talked to the ENTs nurse yesterday and she said to keep up with the probiotics; I guess they finally kicked in. I think (hopefully) we are on the road to healing. We have a dentist appt on Thursday as long as the runs stay away. I really don’t want to cancel as Joe has a tooth coming in sideways infront of the tooth in his cleft. Chet will have his first dentist appt too. That should just be LOADS of fun. Anyway, just wanted to let y’all know Joe Joe is better.

Poor little booger. We went to the ENT on Friday and he said that Joe still had fluid in his ears and that he wasn’t surprised. Then, Saturday afternoon, I looked in Joe’s right ear and there was all this mucousy stuff coming out. So I called the on call ENT, he prescribed ANOTHER antibiotic and eardrop. Well, now, Monday AM the poor boy has runny poop. He’s never had an accident since he decided to wear big boy undies, now he’s had two. He keeps going in to pee and has diarrhea. I’m trying to convince him to sit down to go pee, but he says, “No, mama, boys stand up to pee.” So, wish us luck. The ENTs office opens at 8:30 so I’ll call them to see what they say. I’ve given him pro-biotics since the last ear infection, so not quite sure what to do for my poor Joe-Joe.
