Gonzales ISD isn’t allowing all kids into the pre-k program…so watch out Luling ISD! I’m disappointed that Gonzales ISD isn’t opening up, but i guess what is supposed to be will be.

i’ll find out today if we’re going to pre-k
well, i’ll find out today if joe gets to go to pre-k for free or if we’ll continue our two day a week preschool…don’t know what i’m hoping for. the little guy is SO smart, he should just be put into 1st grade…he’s reading (LOTS) and writing (some). he remembers EVERYTHING anyone has EVER told him…he’s definitely smarter than brian and i combined.
we only have two more gymnastics classes left and i’m glad (sort of) about that. right as chet is getting the hang of taking turns, it’s over.
i’m excited that tomorrow afternoon i get to see my bff! we are having a day-early birthday celebration!!! hopefully our friend bridget gets to come too.
i’ll post more later.
hope all is well,
kristi
The boys are signed up for summer gymnastics.
Thanks to Pop-Pop…we are signed up for gymnastics. The boys will both have a gymnastics class on Wednesdays in June and July! I think this is going to be right up our alley. Joe will be off from school and needing the social interaction as well as the instruction…hopefully he’ll listen. Chet’s is a kind of mommy and me gymnastics class at the same time. Chet’s going to start pre-school next year, so he needs to practice listening too. I am SO excited. It will be a great opportunity for some Nana bonding as well as plain ol fun. I’ll keep you all posted.

been a while
well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted…Joe is doing exceptionally well…except…he’s been angry lately. i’m sure it’s due to the surgery and feeling out of control of his own body! we’re back to therapy every week until we get the behavior back in check…his therapist, Miss Katie, is amazing. I wish i had her patience that she shows with Joe. he’s excited to be back to seeing her. Joe loves Katie so much. we are on spring break from pre-school after only one week back. hopefully we can have some fun this week. we have a birthday party on thursday for joe’s buddy ben’s sister, so that will be fun. please for those of you who say your prayers, keep joe’s teacher miss britany in them. her husband was in an accident and she’s been out of school traveling back and forth to houston every day. They have a house full of small kiddos, so they need prayers of both healing and safety for their mama. It doesn’t take much to remind you of what is really important, right?

Give all your loved ones big hugs. Oh, In good news, for those of you who may remember, Brian’s cousin Scott has bladder cancer. He got a good report at his last doctor’s visit! And my cousin’s wife, Kathy, is doing well with her breast cancer treatment.
back to big D tomorrow
Tomorrow is our follow up appt with Dr. Genecov. I think things have improved greatly since last week; my only concern to discuss with Dr. Genecov is Joe’s breathing. I think that b/c he still is draining some of the disolvable packing, he’s still not breathing well…I’m just not sure about how long to expect the swelling in his nasal cavity, etc. Joe’s ready for things to be “back to normal.” Me, too. I’ll post Wednesday after I drop the boy off at school to let you all know how it goes.
